Born in 2003, under the name of Oreon, Centreon was intended to supply an interface of configuration to Nagios. Published under the GPL license, it seduces first of all a French community, and then finally becomes known all over the world after only two years of existence. With a growing community of contributors and users, the project benefits from additions of essential technical and functional components. |

In order to structure all the realizations and numerous users' requests, MERETHIS becomes in 2005, the publishing company of the solution. This major step allows the project to evolve at the International level. During that period it takes the new name of Centreon. Leaning on Nagios, leading data collector of the market, it quickly becomes a recognized product and one of the references of Open Source software for all that involves the monitoring servers, networks and application software. By offering all the essential necessary features required for a professional monitoring system, the Centreon software range meets the needs of the most demanding Information Systems Division while bringing the flexibility linked to the Open Source. |
